MICHELIN-recommended Lucie and Langdon Hall partner for an epic terroir-forward collaboration

MICHELIN-recommended restaurant Lucie is excited to announce its upcoming collaboration with award-winning chef Jason Bangerter of Langdon Hall, one of Canada’s most celebrated Relais & Châteaux properties. La Collab No. 9 is the latest edition of Lucie’s monthly chef collaboration series, where the restaurant partners with acclaimed chefs from Toronto’s top dining establishments to create unforgettable culinary experiences. This exclusive partnership will take place on March 27, 2025, from 5 PM to 9 PM at Lucie (100 Yonge St., Toronto). Executive chef Arnaud Bloquel of Lucie and Executive chef Jason Bangerter will unite their talents to create a terroir-driven menu that showcases exceptional fresh ingredients and celebrates the artistry of French gastronomy. Guests will enjoy a meticulously curated multi-course tasting menu, expertly paired with premium wines and signature cocktails, for $295 per person, inclusive of beverage pairings and gratuity. Chef Arnaud Bloquel

Executive Chef, Restaurant Lucie
Born in Agen, France, and raised in the Caribbean, Chef Arnaud Bloquel’s culinary journey is shaped by diverse cultural influences and classical French training. Inspired by his two grandmothers, one from Normandie and the other Italian, he developed a deep appreciation for family cooking and the importance of shared meals.

Chef Bloquel honed his skills in some of France’s most prestigious kitchens, working under renowned chefs at Pascal Borrell, the Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz, and La Chèvre d’Or before refining his pastry expertise in Gordes. In Paris, he trained at Chef Christian Constant’s Violon d’Ingres and Cocottes before joining the esteemed teams at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Cyril Lignac’s pastry kitchen.

In 2015, he returned to Guadeloupe to open L’Orchidea, quickly earning accolades, including the title of Best Master Restaurateur in France 2018 and recognition as the top restaurant in the Caribbean by Gault & Millau with a 15 out of 20 rating and 3 Toques. In 2022, he reached the semi finals of the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France competition, further solidifying his status as a top chef.

Now, as Executive Chef of MICHELIN-recommended restaurant Lucie, Chef Bloquel leads the culinary team with a focus on refined,  French cuisine. His expertise, creativity, and dedication to excellence continue to shape Toronto’s fine dining landscape, offering guests an elevated and immersive culinary experience.

Chef Jason Bangerter

Executive Chef, Langdon Hall

A champion of sustainable, locally sourced cuisine, Chef Jason Bangerter has built a reputation for excellence through his commitment to responsible ingredient sourcing and culinary innovation. As Executive Chef of Langdon Hall, a MICHELIN-recommended property, he ensures that 80 percent of all food and drink served is sourced from Ontario while also maintaining a strong commitment to ocean-friendly seafood as a long-time Ocean Wise partner.

Notably an influential leader in the culinary industry, his career spans both nationally and internationally, working alongside some of the world’s greatest chefs. Since joining Langdon Hall in 2013, Chef Bangerter has successfully crafted a talented team that shares his philosophy and vision, with a focus on the freshest and most flavourful ingredients from the property and surrounding farms. His dedication to quality and sustainability is matched by his passion for mentorship, sharing his philosophy with a culinary team that embraces his vision. Through his leadership, Chef Bangerter continues to elevate Canada’s fine dining scene, blending a deep respect for terroir-driven cuisine with a modern, refined approach.

The evening will begin with a welcome glass of Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne, followed by a multi-course menu designed by both chefs. Guests will enjoy an immersive dining experience with the opportunity to engage with the chefs as they share the inspirations behind each dish. Set within Restaurant Lucie’s elegant ambiance, La Collab No. 9 promises to be a night of impeccable flavors, warm hospitality, and an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

Please note that La Collab No. 9 is a prepaid event with a fixed menu, and dietary restrictions may not be accommodated. The event is for guests aged 19 and over.
